Arzignano in the Chiampo Valley
Arzignano lies about 20 kilometres southwest of Vicenza, at the mouth of the Val Chiampo, the valley carved by the Chiampo stream as it climbs towards the Lessini mountains. It is the most populous town and the main economic centre of the valley, a point of reference for neighbouring municipalities such as Chiampo, Montecchio Maggiore and Montorso Vicentino. The municipal territory alternates between the flat area, where residential districts and industrial zones are concentrated, and the first hills to the north, with greener, quieter landscapes.
