1. Definitions
- "Platform": the Trovido website available at trovido.com
- "Operator": GiaNet Media di Francesco Giannetta (VAT no. IT04410590758), with registered office at via Canonico Martire Schito 13 — 73028 Otranto (LE), Italy
- "User": any person who browses the Platform or registers on it
- "Business owner": the user who claims and manages a business listing
- "Listing": the public page of a business present in the directory
- "Workspace": the space that groups the businesses managed by the same owner
2. Subject of the Service
Trovido is a territorial directory of local businesses. The service allows users to freely browse listings on a map, search by category and by proximity, save favorites, and — for owners — claim and manage their own listing and purchase visibility services.
3. Registration and Account
Registration is free and requires name, email and password. The user undertakes to provide truthful information, keep their credentials confidential and not create multiple accounts for the same person. The account may be suspended in the event of a breach of these Terms.
4. Business Listings
- Claim: to manage a listing, the user declares that they are entitled to represent the business. The Operator may carry out checks and revoke access in the event of untruthful declarations.
- Responsibility for content: the owner is solely responsible for the data published on their listing (information, photos, contacts) and for its compliance with the law, including sector-specific obligations (e.g. CIN for accommodation facilities).
- Listings from open sources: not yet claimed listings may be derived from public domain data (OpenStreetMap — ODbL; Open Data Puglia Region — CC-BY), with the source indicated. The owner may claim them, correct them or request their removal.
5. Visibility and Ranking
Results are presented with a transparent organic ranking. Sponsored slots (paid placement) are always clearly labeled as "Sponsored" and distinguished from organic results. The ranking criteria are stated on the Ranking parameters page, in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2019/1150 (P2B). Payment affects only the placement of sponsored slots.
6. Paid Services
Visibility services are available for owners ("Featured" subscription and credit-based boosts). Prices are indicated at the time of purchase and are understood to be VAT exempt (flat-rate scheme, art. 1 paragraphs 54-89 of Law no. 190/2014). Payments are processed through Stripe Inc.; the Operator does not store card data. The right of withdrawal applies.
7. Workspace
A workspace groups the businesses of the same owner (it may contain multiple listings). The user who creates the workspace is its owner and is responsible for it.
8. User Obligations
The user undertakes not to publish illegal, defamatory, discriminatory or misleading content, not to use the Platform for fraudulent activities, to respect intellectual property rights and to ensure the truthfulness of the information entered.
9. Third-Party Content and Moderation (DSA)
The Operator acts as a hosting service provider pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act). Each listing has a "Report" function to notify content deemed unlawful. Upon receiving a report, the Operator assesses it and may remove or restrict unlawful content. The point of contact for communications is the support system.
10. Intellectual Property
The software, design and content of the Platform are the property of the Operator. The content uploaded by the owner remains their property; the owner grants the Operator a limited license for the display and operation of the service.
11. Limitation of Liability
Trovido is a technological intermediary. The Operator is not responsible for the truthfulness of the data published in the listings, for the quality or availability of the listed businesses, nor for the relationships that take place between users and businesses.
12. Changes to the Terms
The Operator may amend these Terms. Substantial changes will be communicated with at least 15 days' notice.
13. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Italian law. For any dispute, the Court of Lecce has jurisdiction, without prejudice to the mandatory rules protecting the consumer.
