Tonadico and the Primiero basin
Tonadico stands in the Primiero basin, a Trentino area enclosed by mountains that opens towards the eastern Dolomites. Today the village is part of the municipality of Primiero San Martino di Castrozza, but it retains its own recognizable identity in its compact urban fabric and rural surroundings. Surrounded by meadows and woods, it is a reference point for those who want to experience Primiero at a relaxed pace, far from the hustle and bustle of more touristy locations, while remaining just a few minutes from San Martino di Castrozza and the ski slopes.
History of an ancient municipality
Tonadico was for centuries an autonomous municipality of Primiero, with a history linked to the administration of the valley and trade along the routes connecting to Veneto.
