More solid are the accounts from the late Middle Ages: Minerbe became an independent municipality in 1199, under the podestà Manfredino, before falling, with the rise of Scaliger rule, under the Bevilacqua counts as their vicariate. This family's privileges were confirmed in 1405 by Doge Michele Steno, when much of the province of Verona came under the control of the Republic of Venice.
Reclamation and agricultural vocation
Under Venetian rule, reclamation work resumed, returning fertile land to agriculture and encouraging wealthy families to settle, building large rural courtyards that were later turned into villas.
